Support Groups
At the Nick Finnegan Counseling Center, you are not alone. Our groups and programs offer clients a safe, supportive environment with others experiencing similar concerns. Here are our current offerings for 2025.
Mom Support Group
Begins April 3rd – ongoing
Thursday mornings, 9:30 am at Nick Finnegan Counseling Center (2714 Joanel)
Led by Anna Crain, LMSW and Heather Timmis, LMFT-S
This in-person support group is for mothers of all ages who find themselves needing a safe space to talk through the joys and challenges of motherhood, while receiving practical tools from two NFCC clinicians and their peers.
Cost $30 per session. Insurance options and payment options available.

Survivors of Suicide Loss
This is an in-person support group for individuals whom have lost a friend or loved one to suicide. To be invited to join, participants should complete the contact form below or call our office at 713-402-5046 to schedule a phone consultation with one of our counselors, to see if this group is a good fit. The group size is limited to 8 members to allow everyone a chance to share at our meetings. Each meeting will be led by two licensed mental health professionals.
A new group begins on May 7th and will run for 8 consecutive weeks.

Infertility Support Group
Update 3/26/2025 – Our group leaders have decided to postpone the start date for the summer. It will still be a virtual group. If you’d like to be placed on the waitlist and contacted when the new date is set, please complete the inquiry form below.

This clinician lead, virtual support group serves as a safe space for women who are facing infertility and would like a place to process their feelings with other women who are navigating the same journey. Infertility and secondary infertility can be painful, lonely and stressful.
Cost $30 per session. Insurance options and financial assistance available.
