Julie Duong, LPC (she/her)

Julie Duong (pronounced yeung) earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Rice University and her master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Teachers College, Columbia University, where she was taught a trauma-informed, culturally competent approach to therapy.  She is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with specialized training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Multisystemic Therapy (MST), and she is currently completing training in the Gottman Method for Couples Therapy. 

Born and raised in the Southwest area of Houston, Julie is a proud daughter of Vietnamese immigrants and a mother to her toddler son.  She spent a decade in education as a teacher and school counselor before joining NFCC as a clinician in 2023. 

Making the decision to start individual therapy can be a scary one.  I will meet you where you are and offer you judgment-free space to explore your thoughts and feelings.  I want to help you develop new insights into yourself and transform that self-awareness into new, healthy patterns of thinking that connect you to your authentic self.

Payment

Julie’s private pay rate is $95 and our sliding scale application is available for all counselors.
