Joyce Gonzalez is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate who recently graduated from Hardin-Simmons University where she received her M.A. in both Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Marriage and Family Therapy. As an LPC-Intern at Hardin-Simmons University, Joyce had the privilege of working with a diverse population. Throughout her training, she had the experience of working with children, adolescents, adults, and groups. In addition, she developed proficiency in working with a variety of psychological and psychosocial stressors. She applies skills from various theories, including Person-Centered, CBT, and Solution-Focused. In addition, she is certified in Premarital & Marital Counseling. She is fluent in English and Spanish, which allows her to provide counseling sessions to clients in their native language. She strives to help her clients find what they are looking for in counseling and show them what counseling can look like to best suit their needs. She approaches clients from a holistic point of view, hoping to expand the areas of personal growth.  She believes that counseling is not one-size-fits-all and look forward to working with her clients to create a treatment plan that is right for them. Whether it is fighting off depression, learning how to adjust to the new transitions in your life or any other goals you have, she is here to support you.
