David Lara, MA, LPC Associate*

David joined NFCC’s admin team in 2016 while studying for his bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Philosophy. He then acquired his Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at The University of St. Thomas. David’s experience includes working with children and adolescents (ages 9+), adolescents and adults.  David believes that working as a team to approach challenges is important in therapy and strives to make sure the client feels safe and comfortable to express themselves. He utilizes several modalities, such as narrative, play and person-centered therapy, and tailors these approaches based on the client’s needs. When he is not seeing clients at NFCC, he assists clients in scheduling appointments and helping new clients take their first step on their mental health journey.

Payment

David’s private pay rate is $75 and our sliding scale application is available for all counselors.
